Kotatsu Comfort

Level 2: Posts are between Level 1 (Beginner) and level 5 (Advanced).

My favorite physical thing about the place where I live is the Kotatsu, which is a table set near the floor with an area below it for your feet. The lower area is heated by electricity. There is also a blanket that covers the bottom part. This type of table was common in homes in the past, but I think it is becoming less common now.

It is great to be so comfortable while eating dinner with people. We also play games and watch movies while our feet are heated. The time at the Kotatsu always goes by so fast. Sometimes (often) I fall asleep at the Kotatsu and wake up in the middle of the night.

When I finally have a home of my own, maybe I will add a Kotatsu table. I don't think they exist outside Japan, but we should certainly add them!
